I finally got a chance to read this article. Thank you for posting! I think what’s interesting is how ubiquitous it is to photograph and record protests these days. This runs into the opposing goals of disseminating the message and breadth of the protest and protecting the identity of the participants.
Yeah, I thought it was super interesting to see some of these tools we’ve been talking about here and in lecture. Also, the protesters were threat modelling at a large scale via discussion and then sharing responsibility for mitigating those threats. Really cool to see this stuff applied! Also, solidarity.
