State Senator Kevin Thomas has introduced this bill that requires data brokers to act as fiduciaries. It’s looking for a co-sponsor in the Assembly. I’m going to send this to my Assemblymember (Jacobson, D-104) because he’s been proactive with supporting progressive policies since taking office this year. If anyone else has a friendly rep, it might be worth sharing the info.
